Well on April 8th, the SAE world conference opened, and this year BMW was the host. SAE is an association that promotes safety. Engineers and auto manufacturers, get together and talk about making things safer.. that is the short version.
Since BMW hosted it, they wanted to kick it off in style, so they invited MINI drivers from all over to come and go on a 25 mile police escorted cruise. About 8 of us came from Canada, I think I was the furthest, with about 600km trip involved.

It was a great catered lunch at the Tiger Club at Tiger Stadium, and I got Jim Kenzie to sign my car. He won the 2006 Targa Newfoundland in a JCW Cooper S.
